My name is Cathy Toyen, and I am an independent insurance agent. I am not affiliated with any single insurance company. I shop many companies to find the best policies and the lowest rates for my customers.I decided to go into the insurance business because I saw that many people's insurance needs were not being met, and I knew I could do a better job than most other insurance agents helping people find low-cost, high-quality insurance policies.
Many agents only represent one insurance company. I don't know why anyone would buy insurance this way! How do you know that you're not paying hundreds more for a policy than you need to if your insurance agent doesn't shop multiple companies?
Even among other independent insurance agents, not all agents spend the time with clients to determine the appropriate policies, coverages, and policy limits. And once they've sold you a policy, their work is done. They won't re-shop your policies to make sure you're always getting the best possible deal.
I pledge to do business differently. I keep my overhead low, and I look out for my customers. I provide guidance in selecting policies that are right for you, and I won't try to sell you policies or coverages you don't need. Anyone can sell an insurance policy.
